frankenstein revisited

the first section with the skin attached to my dystopian guggenheim is finished, only the people are missing now. maybe they got lost in the building or got eaten or...whatever. after verifying that all is fitting properly it is a great pleasure to see how all the pieces that were produced separately fall into place and i can't help thinking that mr frankenstein must have felt similar pleasure seing his patched up human monstrosity lying on the table ready to be animated. the question now is: how horrifying or monstrous can a building be without being banal and meaningless? as a theoretical approach i must say that i think that my building is a success, but like i think mr frankenstein asked himself after he let electicity animate his creature, i have to ask myself: "and what now?" if anybody has any ideas let me know, and no, i am not giggling insanely right now... :-)

architecture, baby!

now i know how to get my maya to crash... just add 14.000+ scales for the skin of your building, try to render with mental ray, and kaboom! but for all those who have not the faintest idea what i am talking about: its still pretty, and three days to go to the final presentation i start to like my building. :-)
